Last week Gavin got us invitations for a
wine launch and tasting at Shore by O, conducted to introduce a new South African
wine by Rockland Sri Lanka name “Beach House”.
At this event we had the opportunity of
learning the correct way of drinking wine and we also got to taste 4 different
wines at the tasting…..so thought I would share the tasting notes with you guys….
Tasting Notes.
Sauvignon Blanc – Beach House.
Lemon grass and Goose Berries in a glass. This
is a stunning, fresh and delicious white wine perfect for sitting out in the
sun. on the porch or even better on the beach.
Chardonnay – Tall Horse.
Bright gold with generous tropical fruit
and vanilla oak aromas revealing a delicious rich and creamy palate packed with
forward ripe fruit flavors layered with spicy vanilla and fresh citrus finish.
Red – Beach House.
A holiday in a glass. Lively succulent
summer fruit & spice tinged Shiraz tempered by the penetrating ruby depth
and easy going tannins from mourvedre all finely entwined with the seductive
aromatics of viognier.
Merlot – Tall Horse.
Good ruby colour intensity with generous
ripe plum and spice on the nose. A silky smooth lush entry with pleasing soft
ripe fruit flavors and well incorporated oak notes.
Hope this was interesting..
Xoxo
