We actually went to the race course, just
to check out the good market, and to our bad luck the place is open during the
day and winds up by 6.00 p.m. Anyways since the good market is not the only
thing at the race course we ended up doing a little bit of shopping & then
for dinner we checked out this place called the Ceylon tea moments…
This place is themed after one of the
biggest revenue generating industries of our country which is ‘TEA’. Also it
has a lot of information on how tea was first introduced to Sri Lanka, how the
industry works, the history of tea, the history of tea in Ceylon all printed on
the walls…..one could get some good insight on tea by reading what’s on the
walls of this place…..which indeed could quench your curiosity….hehehehe
Anyways …I loved the ambiance of the
place….it has an open kitchen so we can see what is happening behind the scene
and that sort of re-assures you as to how the food is getting prepared and the
cleanliness of the place. The staff there was very attentive and friendly…well
the down side to the place is the menu because it does not offer much variety…
but I guess we ordered correctly this time, which obviously was a good
thing…..if I go further and give a brake done of what we ordered
Mommy ordered: Chicken submarine with green
salad and chips
Daddy & I ordered: Grilled beef burger
(well done) with fresh vegetables and chips
Gavi & Shanzo ordered: grilled chicken
with a garden salad and chips
Also in addition to what we ordered there
would have been probably two more option when I came to the mains….however I should
say they had many different varieties of tea and tea associated virgin
cocktails in the menu. In addition to that they have some appetizers &
desert option in the menu as well.
All in all it was a nice quaint place where
we got to enjoy a tasty and quiet meal with the family.
I would recommend this place to anyone…..
I think this is a perfect place for a date, cause of its quiet and un
interruptive nature, you can enjoy some one on one time and really enjoy each
other’s company. J
Check this place out guy….i loved it…
Thank you for reading my blog.
xoxo
